venezuelan blinds

nice glitchy breaks, very reminiscent of venetian snare in styles. although the loose ambient guitar helps to bring it more in line with your production style. not a bad little ditty :)

LJCoffee responds:

venezuelan blinds ha ha... nice...

Very quick and dirty piece. Like that crappy guitar in there? not too bad I guess - considering that it was both completely synthetic and played "live" along with the rest of the track.

haunt

futuristic tones in this track. the high melody is very haunting, works well. interesting little jam, although i guess thats all it was. nice ambience once again

LJCoffee responds:

I still maintain that I had very little to do with the creation of this... I was completely whackup up on cold meds and this is just sort of what happened. Maybe I should get sick more often... sick as in - not feeling well - flu - not sick as in "that mash-up was so sick" - well you know what I mean... or do you?

yep

slightly regal and ethnic at the same time, i guess that could be the oompah style horn/bass. all the parts work nicely together and build up well. although i cant help wanting a nice beat to drop in.
u know....it really ties the room together.

anyways, solid track. expect the second section to get stolen by some skanky lil r'n'b byatch for her next studio album. gg

LJCoffee responds:

skanky rnb bitches.... >:(

I caught some shit for this one - my gf made fun of me and asked if I had some Tim Burton fetish...

I really was thinking about adding some massive angry double-tempo beat but just didn't do it... The, of course, your pal Ped decided that it would sound much better with the "LJCoffee licks balls" clip... :D

I loved his mix though - I'm sure you've heard it.

portishead?

eek dont really like the sample pack snare in the beginning although it does work with the bass. sounds like a combination of listening to too much portishead and ur usual production stylings. i think its the stall on the bass at the end of the bar. all u need is a female vocal and ur practically there :)
nice gentle ambience tho, i like this one.

LJCoffee responds:

You pretty much called it - very Portisheady and I didn't have any vox to put in there at the time.

I might remix this one though - there was supposed to be a video in progress for it somewhere.... I'll have to check on that...

beef

juicey tekno drums theyve got some really crunch to them. that kick is beef on a stick etc. extremely crisp production. ooooo and some nice scratching just came on aswell. very smooth u swine :)im sure this would have the dirtysuckers hopping around like frogs in a heatwave. goodwork

LJCoffee responds:

Nice!

Beef on a stick eh? This was a fun chunk to make. I may make a few more like it later on.

rghfgh

a more conventional dance track to begin with, once it breaks into the fast beat it really starts to tick. shame u didnt build it into something more substantial because that beat has a really nice grain and movement to its sound. storming
im happy enough just with that little blast :) reaktor kicking ass again? hehe
cracking

LJCoffee responds:

Yep - Reaktor5.

This is still one of my favorites. I know it was short but it had to be..

So here's the visual - the beginning is a little sad a little worn down - then the first percussion is introduced as small taste of a pseudo-militaristic/industrial war machine steam powered kind of thing...

The of course out of nowhere the manic drums and everything gets hectic for just a bit - and then we're left again with the sad aftermath and confusion of what the fuck just happened...

Which is why it's named Blitz - as in London...

I have a Flash Animation in mind to go with it but it'll take me a thousand years to finish - I just don't have the time...

mash

very cool glitchy track and my favorite ive heard so far. sounds like some reaktor mashup. the tone over the percussion sounds nice and the little touches of 'notes' make it roll so nicely. very funky indd and definately my sort of thing. this one is getting a good high rating. impressive to say the least. go go reaktor :)

LJCoffee responds:

Again, that's exactly what it was - a Reaktor mashup. I was messing around for .. a while - I don't know - I dumped it all out, cut it all up and whats left are what I thought were the more interesting parts.

I do so love to just screw around with Reaktor for hours...

short

i really liked the string trickles throughout this track. maintains a warm and dark atmosphere. its a weird comparison to have in a track. shame its so short :) (like this review)

LJCoffee responds:

As will be the response :D

It's more of a code than it is a song - just a few bits of information about myself.

slurgh

i disagree with some of the other reviews. i dont think this needs a vocal. its a really nice instrumental and the changes between each section works very nice. having said that, i guess it would benefit some sort of 'solo' to take the place of a vocal. even so, very nice track indd

LJCoffee responds:

Ahhh... yeah... well - actually it's my least favorite to be honest - there is less of "me" in that track than any other. People do seem to like it though.

waitaminutenow...

Less of "me" in this song...
people like this more than the rest...

Hmmmmmm - I wonder...

:D

bias is a wonderful thing

this is a scary tune. some nice little edits on the vocals. think its a delay. i like the crazy dahlek style vocals before the chorus. the bassline is a bit quirky but it suits the style of the track. this must be that 'urbane ghetto sound' ive heard so much about.

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

urban ghetto, thats right, recognize, i invented that shit, shenley reprazent. your surposed to give me good reviews u dry swine. should have gone summin like 'omfg, this is possibly the best track i've ever heard, production was spot on, really full sound throughout. excellent variation throughout the track, really kept me interested. the b-line is kicking, had me dancing around like an absolute kunt,
i'm gonna go and uninstal all my music software as i could never hope to be as good as u, 5/5' :P
